Online Spanish Dangerous Goods Transport General Awareness course now available
Poor understanding of IMDG Code provisions has resulted in countless incidents at sea and ashore. Incorrect documentation, packaging, segregation, stowage within the container and on board ship and many other common errors put lives, property and the environment at risk. IMO and national administration surveys consistently show that high percentages of dangerous goods container shipments are non-compliant.
IMDG Code training is mandatory for all shore-side staff involved in dangerous goods transport. Staff directly involved in dangerous goods operations must have function specific training, while general awareness training is required for those who, although not having a hands on role, require a familiarisation with the IMDG Code provisions. Exis Technologies developed IMDG Code e-learning in collaboration with the International Maritime Organization which has been implemented by 6 of the top 10 shipping lines, shippers and transport operations worldwide.
The Dangerous Goods Transport General Awareness course is for personnel who need a familiarisation with dangerous goods transport regulations and an awareness of the duties that arise from them.
We have now launched a Spanish version of our Dangerous Goods Transport General Awareness course. It fully meets the ‘awareness training’ requirements in 126.96.36.199.1 of the IMDG Code (Amdt 39-18), 188.8.131.52 of the ADR Agreement and RID Regulations and also highlights requirements in the air transport regulations and the 49 CFR domestic dangerous goods regulations.
It is ideal for warehouse personnel, clerical workers, administrators, managers, customer service and/or sales personnel and others who have a very limited direct involvement in dangerous goods shipping or transport activities but need a general appreciation of the regulations. All course content is online and there is a course completion certificate.
We also offer job-related function specific, advanced and refresher training, currently available in English only. The full list of training courses is available here
