The IMSBC e-learning course was written and is supplied by Exis parent company, container inspection company National Cargo Bureau (NCB), based in New York, USA .
The IMSBC training course is based on the 2020 Edition, incorporating Amendment 05-19 of the Code, which entered into force on 1 January 2021 and remains in force until 31 December 2022. A copy of the relevant 2020 IMSBC Code is required to follow and complete the guides.
The course should be of interest to ship’s officers, vessel operators, bulk terminal operators, stevedores, ship agents, surveyors and others in the maritime/bulk cargo field
How to buy
You can register for the IMSBC e-learning course on the National Cargo Bureau website from this web page. The course login details are automatically sent to you via the NCB website once payment has been received.
The price of each course is USD 50.00. It takes around 6-8 hours to complete.
The courses are divided into three sections:
- Course slides
- Test
- Download certificate of completion
Please note that as the courses were developed by NCB they do not follow the same style and assessment format as the Exis e-learning courses. They cannot be added to the Exis e-learning administrator system.
The IMSBC Code itself can be purchased from NCB or Exis Technologies.
